The Jacksonville Jaguars signed rookie linebacker Pat Thomas to a contract today. Thomas was the second of the teams' two sixth round selections and one of eight players selected in the 2005 NFL Draft in April. He is the second Jaguars draft pick to sign a contract along with Chris Roberson.
Thomas, 22, was the 194th overall selection in the draft. The 6-2, 243-pounder started his last three seasons at linebacker while at North Carolina State. The Miami native tallied 334 career tackles, 15.5 sacks and five forced fumbles in 50 career games and 36 starts.
All 88 Jaguars are under contract except for this year's first six draft picks.
