The Jacksonville Jaguars have re-signed fullback Kevin Clemens and cornerback Evan Hlavacek, and punter Aron Langley signed his first contract with the team. The team's roster now stands at 54 players.
Clemens, 24, played last season with the New Jersey Red Dogs of the Arena League, where he was third on the team in total offense. He attended Grand Valley State, where he registered 17 sacks in two seasons and was named All-Conference twice. He is 6-1, 275 pounds.
Hlavacek, 26, played last season with the Albany Firebirds of the Arena League as a defensive
specialist, recording three interceptions and leading the team in tackles. In four years at San Diego State, the 5-10, 185-pound Hlavacek (pronounced: LAH-va-chek) was a return specialist, wide receiver and running back. In 1994 and '95 he led the team in receiving.
Langley, 24, was in training camp with the Buccaneers in 1999 and the Bears in 2000. He was a four-year letterman at Wyoming, where he averaged 44.7 yards per punt his last three seasons and was third-team All-America as a junior.
