The Jacksonville Jaguars signed veteran free agent defensive end Marcellus Wiley to a contract today. The ninth-year veteran spent last season with Dallas and was released on Feb. 22.
Wiley, 30, played in all 16 games last season with the Cowboys, starting 15 contests. The 6-4, 275-pound defensive end recorded 37 tackles (26 solo) with three sacks, 11 quarterback pressures and a forced fumble. He signed with Dallas after spending the previous seven seasons in Buffalo and San Diego.
Originally a second-round selection by Buffalo out of Columbia in 1997, he was named to the Pro Bowl in 2001. In 124 career games, he has 78 starts with 387 tackles (261 solo), 44 sacks, 62 quarterback pressures and 14 forced fumbles.
