Jaguars sign WR Jamar Newsome to practice squad

The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed rookie wide receiver Jamar Newsome to the team's practice squad. Newsome, a former University of Central Florida player, had been waived on Tuesday. To make room on the practice squad the team waived defensive end Tom McCarthy.
