Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Tom Coughlin spoke by phone this morning wide receiver R. Jay Soward, who was involved in a one-car accident in California last night. Soward was uninjured except for abrasions on his face and one hand. X-rays were to be taken of the hand today.

No citation was issued from the accident, no charges were filed, and none of the passengers were injured.

"When I spoke with R. Jay he was on his way to have his hand checked," Coughlin said. "He seemed to be O.K., and thankfully no one else was injured."

Jaguars players have been off this week following last weekend's mandatory mini-camp.
