Jaguars to Cap Week with Scrimmage Saturday Night

The Jaguars will close their first week of training camp with the team's annual scrimmage this Saturday evening, August 8 inside Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. The scrimmage will kick off at 7:30 p.m. and will be open to the public. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. and fans must enter through Gates 1 or 4 at the south end of the stadium. There is no charge for admission or parking.

Free parking will be available in Lots J, P, C and D. Fans are reminded that the Hart Bridge is closed on weekends for painting, so alternate routes should be taken including the Matthews Bridge and the Main Street Bridge.

Brian Sexton, Jeff Lageman and Vic Ketchman will be broadcasting during the scrimmage live on WOKV AM & FM Radio (690, 106.5) from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. The 2009 ROAR of the Jaguars will perform during the evening, as well as the D-Line. Special appearances will be made by Jaxson de Ville and the Jax Pack. A brief autograph session with the complete roster of players will take place immediately following the scrimmage.

Tickets for the Jaguars' 2009 home games will be on sale at a ticket desk on the main concourse outside the Bud Zone. Season tickets, Half-Packs, group tickets and single game tickets will be available for purchase.

The Jaguars will also be hosting a private celebration in the West Touchdown Club for the season ticket holders who have supported the team since 1995. Admission to the West Club will be by invitation only.

The new 2009 Jaguars merchandise will be available at Store 4 outside section 143 in the southeast corner of the stadium. Specially priced concessions will also be offered, including $2 draft beer, soft drinks and water. The Bud Zone will be open to the public. Fans wanting to upgrade to VIP seating in the MPS Group Terrace Suite can visit the website at homefieldevents.com.

During Saturday night's event the Jaguars will also introduce two new features for fans attending home games this season; Picture to Screen and Text to Screen. This technology will allow fans to take pictures on their mobile phones or send text messages to the Jaguars for display on the stadium's electronic signage.

Training camp will continue with practice tonight at 7:00 on the practice fields at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium., and on Friday with practice sessions at 10:45 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. There will also be a light practice on Saturday morning at 10:45.
