Jaguars to Host Several March Events

The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to engage fans in the offseason and the efforts in March will center around March Madness.

The Jaguars will host a special party, "Jag Madness 2010," on Thursday, March 18 in the East Touchdown Club at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium from 4:30-10:00 p.m. The invitation-only event, which was designed for season ticket holders, reached capacity in 24 hours. However, the Jaguars have made a limited amount of tickets available to the general public by registering through club's Facebook and Twitter pages. Visit jaguars.com/connect for access to all these services.

The event will include the participation of several Jaguars players. Additional activities are planned, including a question & answer session and autograph signings, and the action from the NCAA tournament games will be displayed on more than 40 televisions.

There will also be a basketball goal placed in the lower club lobby where a shooting contest will be held with players and fans. In addition, food and drinks will be available for purchase.

The Jaguars, in partnership with Action News and Team Teal, will give all fans the opportunity to compete against players and coaches by filling out a bracket for the upcoming men's NCAA Basketball Tournament. Fans may cast their ballot on www.jaguars.com The winning bracket will receive two free club seats for the 2010 season.

In the past two months the Jaguars have reached out to engage fans in several unique ways. Through a contest the team chose two season ticket holders to attend the Pro Bowl in Miami as guests of running back Maurice Jones-Drew. The club's website then held a contest to name the All-Jaguars Fans Team last month. General Manager Gene Smith will speak with season ticket holders tonight on a conference call via Broadnet for 45 minutes. There are also plans to send fans to the upcoming NFL Draft in April.
