Broadcasts of Jaguars games were the highest-rated local television shows for all 16 weeks of the 1999 regular season. The Jaguars joined the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers are the only teams that had the No. 1 local television show all 16 weeks of the season.
"This is an impressive accomplishment when you consider the history some other teams have in their home markets," said Jennifer Kumik, Jaguars director of broadcasting. "The television ratings here say a lot about Jacksonville's enthusiastic fan base."
