The Jacksonville Jaguars today traded an undisclosed draft pick to the Minnesota Vikings for wide receiver Troy Williamson. The fourth-year veteran had spent the past three seasons in Minnesota.
Williamson, 24, started eight of 11 games last season for the Vikings and recorded 18 receptions for 240 yards with a 60-yard touchdown reception. The 6-1, 203-pound receiver ranked second on team with 17 kickoff returns for 387 yards (22.8 avg.) with a long of 56 yards. He was originally drafted with the seventh overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft out of South Carolina and was the highest drafted wide receiver in Vikings' history. He has started 22 of his 39 career games and has 79 receptions for 1,067 yards and three touchdowns.
