The Jacksonville Jaguars today released 11 players to trim the roster to the 75-man limit. Included in today's transactions were five veterans: S Nick Sorensen, TE Jermaine Wiggins, LB Jorge Cordova, WR Jimmy Farris and FB Derrick Wimbush.
Also waived were six first-year players: OT Andrew Carnahan, WR Roosevelt Kiser, QB Lester Ricard, WR D'Juan Woods, RB D.D. Terry and DE Jeremy Mincey.
The Jaguars' roster now stands at 75 players. The deadline for final cuts to 53 is Saturday, Sept. 1.
