JAGUARS WAIVE RICKY PARKER

The Jacksonville Jaguars released S Ricky Parker today, as they reduced their roster to the 53-man limit.

Parker, 23, played in 12 games as a rookie with the Jaguars in 1997 after joining the team on waivers from the Chicago Bears, who drafted him in the sixth round. Parker made 13 tackles on special teams and one on defense.

The other players released were: veterans WR Willie Jackson, LB Eddie Robinson, DT Ed Philion and G Mark Nori and rookies TE Mark Thomas, OTs Steve Zahursky and Jason Baker and DE Lamanzer Williams.
