JAGUARS WAIVE THREE PLAYERS

The Jacksonville Jaguars today waived three players: OT Craig Warren, WR Marcell West and DE Johnie Church.

Warren, 23, played in both preseason games as a backup offensive tackle. He was signed by the Jaguars on April 21 out of Stephen F. Austin.

West, 24, also signed with the Jaguars the day after the 1997 draft. He saw action in the first preseason game but did not make any catches. West played collegiately at Alabama.

Church, 23, a native of Fort Myers, Fla., signed with Jacksonville on January 9. A former Florida Gator, he played in only the first preseason game. Church was originally drafted in the seventh round of the 1996 draft by Seattle. He was waived by the Seahawks and spent 1996 out of football.

The Jaguars' roster now stands at 78 players. The team has until 4:00 p.m. EDT Tuesday to make 18 more roster moves to get down to the 60-man limit.
