The halftime entertainment of Sunday's game will be the celebration of Jaxson De Ville's birthday. He will be joined by many of his mascot friends from around the country, including Captain Fear from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Raymond from the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Poe of the Baltimore Ravens, T-Rac of the Tennessee Titans, Who Dey from the Cincinnati Bengals, Toro of the Houston Texans, Big Red from the Arizona Cardinals, Blitz from the Seattle Seahawks and Roary of the Detroit Lions.

In addition, the new mascot for the Jacksonville Super Bowl Host Committee — Scoop the Pelican — will be introduced for the first time. Adorned in Jacksonville-style shorts and a jersey showcasing the Super Bowl Host Committee logo, Scoop will make frequent appearances at Host Committee events between now and Super Bowl Sunday 2005.

With so many mascots in Jacksonville, Jaxson de Ville and seven of his friends will make appearances as celebrity baggers at three Winn-Dixie stores. The stores are at: 5207 Normandy Blvd., 5647 Roosevelt Blvd. and 3538 Blanding Blvd. The appearances start at 4:15 p.m. at the Normandy store, and the mascots will be there for about 20 minutes before moving to the Blanding store and then the Roosevelt store.
