Several Jacksonville companies have stepped forward to purchase
blocks of tickets for Sunday's game between the Jaguars and the
Tennessee Titans, and the game will be shown in the Jacksonville
area on television. Tickets are still available for fans who wish to
see the Jaguars at ALLTEL Stadium.
"With the great support of seven local companies, enough of the
remaining tickets have been sold to ensure that Sunday's game will
be televised," said Jaguars chairman and CEO Wayne Weaver.
"We can't fully express our gratitude to our friends at CSX, First
Union, Florida Rock, Ford, MediaOne@Sports Channel Florida,
Winn-Dixie and WJXT for buying the tickets necessary to lift the
blackout. This is important to us as an organization and I want to
publicly thank our corporate friends as well as the fans who have
bought tickets. Being our first divisional game this season, and
against another undefeated team, this is a big game. I am pleased
that our fans will be able to see it not only at ALLTEL Stadium, but
on TV as well."
Fans can purchase tickets by visiting the Internet at
www.jaguars.com or by calling 1-888-397-0100 before 3:00 p.m.
Saturday. Single-game ticket prices are $40, $50, $65 and $85 per
ticket. Tickets can also be purchased from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Thursday and Friday at the Jaguars Ticket Office at ALLTEL
Stadium.
