JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars made three depth-related moves Monday.

The most notable of the three moves also had much to do with speed, with the team placing a second-round tender on third-year running back Corey Grant.

Grant's tender offer was the Jaguars' most high-profile announcement Monday afternoon, with the team also announcing it had placed exclusive-rights tenders on two players: second-year tight end Ben Koyack and first-year offensive lineman William Poehls.

The offer to Grant was a second-round tender at $2.9 million, a move that gives the Jaguars right of first refusal if another team makes Grant an offer when the NFL's free-agency period begins on Wednesday. Grant is scheduled to become a restricted free agent Wednesday at 4 p.m.

If a team offers Grant a contract at that point, the Jaguars can either match the offer and retain Grant or receive a second-round draft choice from the offering team.

The exclusive-rights offers to Koyack and Poehls are more restrictive. They must either sign the tenders and play with the Jaguars or not play for any team next season.

Grant (5-feet-11, 203 pounds), has become a potent change-of-pace weapon in three seasons, rushing for 414 yards on a 6.1-yards-per-carry average with three touchdowns. He also has nine receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown.

Grant rushed for 58 yards on a fake punt this past season against Baltimore in London and also scored on a 56-yard fake punt run in a victory over the Los Angeles Chargers at EverBank Field in November.

Koyack (6-5, 258), originally a seventh-round selection by the Jaguars in the 2015 NFL Draft, spent his rookie season on the team's practice squad. He has started 10 of 30 games over the past two seasons, catching five passes for 38 yards in 2017. His one-yard third-quarter reception was the lone touchdown in the Jaguars' 10-3 victory over Buffalo in an AFC Wild Card playoff in January,

Poehls (6-feet-8, 344 pounds) was on the Jaguars' 53-man roster throughout last season and was inactive for all 19 games including the postseason. Originally signed by Tennessee as an undrafted rookie following the 2014 NFL Draft, Poehls also has spent time with Buffalo and Chicago.
