Jaguars players will be active in the community starting tomorrow and through next week, including six visits scheduled at area schools. The following is a list of upcoming player and team activities:
Saturday, May 18
11:00 a.m. - Punter Chris Hanson and team mascot Jaxson de Ville will sign autographs for Boy Scouts attending the annual Scout Blast event at Cecil Field Commerce Center.
Monday, May 20
11:30 a.m. - Defensive end Stalin Colinet will speak to students at Love Grove Elementary School.
1:30 p.m. - Safety Donovin Darius will talk to students during a schoolwide assembly at Hyde Park Elementary School.
Tuesday, May 21
11:00 a.m. - Running backs Fred Taylor, Elvis Joseph, and Patrick Washington will visit Wolfson Children's Hospital.
12:15 p.m. - Head coach Tom Coughlin will be the guest speaker at the Orange Park Rotary Club luncheon to be held at the Holiday Inn-Orange Park.
1:00 p.m. - Newly acquired linebacker Wali Rainer will speak to students at Hyde Grove Elementary School.
1:00 p.m. - Quarterback Roderick Robinson will visit Dinsmore Elementary School.
Wednesday, May 22
1:30 p.m. - Punter Chris Hanson will visit San Pablo Elementary School.
3:30 p.m. - Tight end/long snapper Joe Zelenka will visit Merrill Road Elementary School.
Thursday, May 23
8:00 p.m. (WJCT-7, WJXT-4) - Tight end Kyle Brady and safety Donovin Darius will appear live on Straight Talk: Teens & Sex…The Real Truth, a one-hour community forum presented by the Jaguars Foundation in an unprecedented partnership with Jacksonville media (WJXT-4, WJCT-7, WTLV-12, WJWB-17, WJXX-25, WAWS-30, WTEV-47, AT&T Broadband, the Florida Times-Union/jacksonville.com, Clear Channel Outdoor). The show will address the consequences of teen sex, including pregnancy and sexually-transmitted infections including HIV/AIDS. The show will air live on WJCT-7 and WJXT-4 on May 23 and will be rebroadcast on all other stations from May 25-29.
