Playoffs: Jaguars - Chargers time, date set (updated)

JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars' first-round playoff opponent is set.

The time and date are, too.

The Jaguars (9-8) will play host to the Los Angeles Chargers (10-7) in an AFC Wild Card Playoff at TIAA Bank Field Saturday at 8:15 p.m. on NBC. The Jaguars as the AFC South Champions are the No. 4 seed in the AFC, with the Chargers earning a wild card and the No. 5 AFC Seed.

The Jaguars (9-8) beat the Chargers, 38-10, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif., in Week 3 this season. That victory moved the Jaguars to 2-1, after which they lost five consecutive games before winning seven of their last nine games.

The Jaguars won their last five regular-season games and clinched the South with a 20-16 victory over the two-time defending South champion Tennessee Titans at TIAA Bank Field Saturday night. It was their second AFC South title, their first since 2017.

The Chargers clinched the No. 5 seed when the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Baltimore Ravens early Sunday afternoon.
