Quinn Picks Up First Win in Week Two of NFL Europe

Five of the seven Jacksonville Jaguars players who were allocated to the NFL Europe League started last Saturday, headlined by quarterback Jonathan Quinn, who led Berlin to its first win of the year. He completed 17 of 31 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 13 yards in a 28-20 win over Frankfurt.

"We tracked him very well," said Jaguars coach Tom Coughlin on watching Quinn on his national TV debut. "We took the tape, and the pro scouts watched it. His first game wasn't as good. They lost a close game and I'm sure he felt bad about that one. However, driving them the length of the field at the end of this week's game, and making some plays to win the game, that should help his confidence a lot."

-- Berlin safety James Watkins started and had seven tackles including five solo

-- Barcelona cornerback Craig Miller started and posted three tackles

-- Barcelona linebacker Troy Pelshak started and recorded one special teams tackle

-- Frankfurt tackle Reggie Nelson started and helped the Galaxy rush for 218 yards and a 5.7 average

-- Frankfurt defensive end Paul Spicer had one tackle and one pass defensed

-- Frankfurt kicker Jim Tarle did not start but had five kickoffs

In this Saturday's action, the Frankfurt Galaxy will travel to Amsterdam, with both teams at 1-1 on the season. The game will be televised at 1 p.m. on Fox Sports Net. The Rhein Fire will host the undefeated Barcelona Dragons with the game televised at 1 p.m. on DirecTV. On Sunday, Berlin takes on Scotland with the game televised at 10 a.m. on DirecTV.

The seven players will return from the NFL Europe League in time for the start of Jaguars training camp on July 26.
