JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars reduced their roster in a big way Saturday.

Nine days before the 2020 regular-season opener, the Jaguars had their busiest transaction day of the year as they reduced their roster to the NFL regular-season limit of 53 players. Teams had until Saturday at 4 p.m. EST to do so.

The Jaguars waived 19 players Saturday and released two others. They also placed one player on the waived/injured list, one on reserve/injured, one on reserve/COVID-19 and two on the reserve/suspended by Commissioner list.

Included among the departures: two of the team's four quarterbacks, with the team releasing eighth-year quarterback Mike Glennon and waiving third-year quarterback Josh Dobbs. Starter Gardner Minshew II and sixth-round rookie Jake Luton are the two quarterbacks on the team's 53-player roster.

They also waived/injured wide receiver Michael Walker (knee), who was on the active roster last season.

All 12 members of the Jaguars' 2020 NFL Draft class made the 53-player roster and four undrafted rookies made it.
