The Jacksonville Jaguars today released 12 players including eight veterans: RB David Allen, G Derrick Fletcher, DT Derrick Ransom, DE Courtland Bullard, OT Mike Compton, TE Chris Luzar, S Anthony Mitchell and OT Sammy Williams.

Also waived were four first-year players including two draft picks: RB Rich Alexis, OT Sean Bubin, DT Anthony Maddox and G Joe Tate.

The Jaguars' roster now stands at 53 players, and the team will be able to sign eight players to their practice squad after 12:00 noon Monday.
