Scobee Named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week

Jacksonville Jaguars placekicker Josh Scobee was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance last Sunday in the Jaguars' 23-21 win at Indianapolis.

Scobee converted all three field goal attempts including a game-winning 51-yarder with four seconds remaining to seal the road win. He also recorded two touchbacks and connected on both PAT attempts for 11 points. The fifth-year veteran from Louisiana Tech helped the Jaguars win for only the second time in Indianapolis. Scobee connected on a last-minute 53-yarder in 2004 in the Jaguars' first win in Indianapolis and won AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors as well.

Scobee has converted seven of his eight field goal attempts this season, including two from beyond 50 yards, and has 25 points. This is his fifth AFC Special Teams Player of the Week award, and he joins former punter Bryan Barker with the most ever for a Jaguars player.
