Senior Bowl-bound

JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars are Senior Bowl-bound.

Actually, it's more accurate to say some of the Jaguars are bound for the Senior Bowl, because the team's presence at the college all-star game in Mobile, Alabama, will be far more limited this year than in recent seasons.

The Jaguars' coaching staff coached the South team in the game each of the last three seasons. With Doug Marrone having replaced Gus Bradley as head coach – and with the Jaguars still in the final stages assembling a coaching staff – Marrone will not attend this year's event.

General Manager David Caldwell and many of the Jaguars' scouts will work the game. Jaguars Executive Vice President of Football Operations Tom Coughlin also is not scheduled to attend.

We'll have coverage of Senior Bowl week on jaguars.com Tuesday through Thursday, but for now, here's a position-by-position look at the Senior Bowl:

* *

Quarterbacks

North: Nate Peterman, Pittsburgh; Sefo Liufau, Colorado; C.J. Beathard, Iowa

South: Davis Webb, California; Antonio Pipkin, Tiffin; Josh Dobbs, Tennessee

Comment: Peterman and Webb are both considered mid-to-late round selections, with the rest of this year's Senior Bowl quarterbacks generally considered seventh-round or free-agent possibilities.

Running backs

North: Kareem Hunt, Toledo; Corey Clement, Wisconsin; Sam Rogers (FB), Virginia Tech; De'Veon Smith, Michigan

South: Donnel Pumphrey, San Diego State; Matt Dayes, North Carolina State; Jamaal Williams, Brigham Young

Comment: Most of the tailbacks in this year's game are considered mid-to-late-round selections.

Wide receivers

North: Cooper Kupp, Eastern Washington; Zay Jones, East Carolina; Amara Darboh, Michigan; Trent Taylor, Louisiana Tech; Amba Etta-Tawo, Syracuse; Jamari Staples, Louisville; Jalen Robinette, Air Force.

South: Artavis Scott, Clemson; Taywan Taylor, Western Kentucky; Ryan Switzer, North Carolina; Josh Reynolds, Texas A&M; Travin Dural, LSU; Fred Ross, Mississippi State; Chad Williams, Grambling State.

Comment: Kupp – a potential second-round selection – may be the top prospect in this group with Oklahoma wide receiver Dede Westbrook passing on the game last week. Jones, Darboh, Scott and Taylor all are projected as second- or third-round possibilities.

Tight ends

North: Jeremy Sprinkle, Arkansas; Michael Roberts, Toledo; Jonnu Smith, Florida International

South: O.J. Howard, Alabama; Evan Engram, Ole Miss; Gerald Everett, South Alabama

Comment: This is considered a good draft for tight ends with Howard generally considered the top tight end in the class overall.

Offensive tackles

North: Adam Bisnowaty, Pittsburgh; Taylor Moton, Western Michigan; Julién Davenport, Bucknell; Zach Banner, Southern California

South: Antonio Garcia, Troy; Conor McDermott, UCLA; Justin Senior, Mississippi State

Comment: This isn't considered an elite offensive-tackle class, but this is a good Senior Bowl for the position with Bisnowaty, Moton, Banner and Garcia all potential second-round selections.

Offensive guard

North: Dan Feeney, Indiana; Dion Dawkins (T), Temple; Jordan Morgan, Kutztown; Kyle Kalis, Michigan.

South: Isaac Asiata, Utah; Forrest Lamp, Western Kentucky; Danny Isidora, Miami; Jessamen Dunker, Tennessee St.; Nico Siragusa, San Diego State

Centers

North: Tyler Orlosky, West Virginia; Kyle Fuller, Baylor

South: Ethan Pocic; Jon Toth, Kentucky

Comment: This is a strong group with Pocic and Orlosky possible second-round selections and Fuller a possible third-round selection.

South: Jordan Willis, Kansas State; Tanoh Kpassagnon, Villanova; Keionta Davis, UT-Chattanooga; Daeshon Hall, Texas A&M; Josh Carraway, TCU

Outside linebacker

North: Vince Biegel, Wisconsin; Carroll Phillips, Illinois; Derek Rivers (DE), Youngstown State

South: Ryan Anderson, Alabama; Tyus Bowser, Houston

Comment: With Florida linebacker Jarrad Davis and UCLA linebacker Takkarist McKinley opting to not play, Anderson is the top linebacker in the game. He's projected as a second-round selection.

Inside linebacker

North: Haason Reddick (OLB), Temple; Connor Harris, Lindenwood; Jordan Herdman, Simon Fraser

South: Alex Anzalone (OLB), Florida; Duke Riley (OLB), LSU; Ben Boulware, Clemson; Harvey Langi, Brigham Young
