JACKSONVILLE – The sun shone bright, and all for the Jaguars was good.
Trevor Lawrence threw four touchdowns, the defense allowed but one and the Jaguars' 2026 regular-season opener was a good day – and start – all around as they started fast and finished strong in a 34-10 victory over the Cleveland Browns at EverBank Stadium.
Sunday's was a complete victory, start to finish.
Lawrence completed 18 of 23 passes for 245 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions and a passer rating of 150.6, with the Jaguars taking a 14-0 lead after the first quarter and winning their regular-season opener for a second consecutive season.
Lawrence left the game with the Jaguars leading 34-3 with 8:12 remaining.
Lawrence threw touchdown passes to wide receivers Parker Washington, rookie Josh Cameron and Jakobi Meyers and tight end Brenton Strange. He became the second quarterback in franchise history to throw touchdowns to four different receivers, with Blake Bortles doing it in a September 2018 victory over the New England Patriots.
Washington caught five passes for 83 yards, and his 30-yard diving touchdown gave the Jaguars a 7-0 lead on their first possession.
The Jaguars scored on their first four possessions and led 24-0 after Strange's touchdown reception from Lawrence – Lawrence's third touchdown pass of the game – midway through the second quarter.
The Jaguars led 24-0 at halftime, with the 24 points a franchise record for most first-half points in a regular-season opener.
Second-year running back Bhayshul Tuten rushed for 66 yards on 15 carries, and the Jaguars outrushed the Browns 127-87. They outgained the Browns, 360-272, and had 23 first downs for the game to 14 for the Browns.
Defensive end Josh Hines-Allen had two sacks for the Jaguars, and defensive end Travon Walker, linebacker Ventrell Miller and linebacker Branson Combs all registered one. Linebacker Foye Oluokun registered a key momentum-turning first-quarter interception to stop the Browns' opening drive at the Jaguars 19.
The Jaguars forced two turnovers Sunday, with Hines-Allen recovering a second-quarter fumble by Browns wide receiver K.C. Concepcion that led to Strange's touchdown.

- Washington's diving reception in the short corner of the end zone on a pass from Lawrence gave the Jaguars a 30-yard touchdown and a 7-0 lead with 8:11 remaining in the first quarter; the touchdown capped an eight-play 59-yard drive that began Oluokun's 22-yard interception return that ended Cleveland's first series. Lawrence capped a nine-play, 74-yard drive on the ensuing possession with a 4-yard pass to Cameron for a 14-0 lead with 1:42 remaining in the first quarter.
- Little's 47-yard field goal capped the Jaguars' third drive – 11 plays, 43 yards – and pushed the lead to 17-0 with 9:12 remaining in the second quarter. Strange's 14-yard reception from Lawrence capped the Jaguars' fourth drive – five plays, 55 yards – for a 24-0 lead with 6:18 remaining in the half.
- Meyers' 32-yard reception from Lawrence ended the first drive of the second half, capping a four-play, 60-yard possession and extending the lead to 31-0 with 12:08 remaining in the third quarter. Browns kicker Andre Szmyt's 26-yard field goal made it 31-3 with 8:34 remaining in the third quarter and Little's 40-yard field goal pushed the lead back to 34-3 with 1:51 remaining in the quarter.
- Wide receiver Denzel Boston's 46-yard reception from quarterback Deshaun Watson made it 34-10 with 1:52 remaining.
Notable: Second-year running back LeQuint Allen Jr. was active for the Jaguars Sunday after being listed as questionable with a hip injury on Friday's final injury report of the week. The Jaguars' six inactive players as announced 90 minutes before kickoff Sunday: Quarterback Quinn Ewers, rookie tight end Tanner Koziol, offensive lineman Daniel Faalele, rookie defensive end Wesley Williams, rookie defensive end Bryan Thomas Jr. and rookie safety Jalen Huskey.
Injury report: Defensive end B.J. Green II sustained an elbow injury in the first quarter and did not return. Wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. sustained a shoulder injury in the second quarter and returned.
