Starks, Sensabaugh sign

The Jaguars signed rookie defensive backs Scott Starks and Gerald Sensabaugh to contracts on Thursday. Starks was drafted in the third round and Sensabaugh in the fifth round of the 2005 NFL Draft in April.

Seventh-round pick Chris Roberson and sixth-rounder Pat Thomas had previously agreed to contracts. The remaining unsigned Jaguars draft picks are first-round wide receiver Matt Jones, second-round offensive tackle Khalif Barnes, fourth-round running back Alvin Pearman and sixth-round kick-returner Chad Owens.

Starks, 21, was the 87th overall pick of the draft. At 5-9, 180, Starks will compete for the starting right cornerback job in this summer's training camp. He started 48 of 51 games at Wisconsin. He is a native of St. Louis, Mo.

Sensabaugh, 22, was the 157th overall selection in the draft. The 6-0, 210-pounder was a starter in all four of his college seasons, the first three at East Tennessee and the final season at North Carolina. The Kingsport, Tenn. native started 45 of 46 career games with 261 tackles, eight sacks and four interceptions.

All 88 Jaguars are under contract except for the four draft picks remaining to be signed.
