TRAINING CAMP CONTINUES FOR JAGUARS AFTER GIANTS GAME

The Jacksonville Jaguars began their fourth week of training camp today on the Ferrell Practice Fields with three players missing the afternoon practice: S Monty Grow (shin contusion), LB Brant Boyer (hip strain) and OT Jason Dukes (sprained left ankle).

Following Friday¹s night's 24-17 loss to the New York Giants in the preseason opener for both teams, the Jaguars spent the morning on corrections and conditioning. In the afternoon practice, "We added a few things, but we really went back to the basics to make corrections," said head coach Tom Coughlin. "On our passing game, the precision wasn't there. It leveled off a lot. Now we've got to do something about it. It's

timing. It's depth. The protection was good; we just didn't execute well."

Coughlin complimented the play of Ben Coleman, who started at left guard against the Giants. "He played pretty well the other night," Coughlin said. "He was physical. All three guys (Coleman, Shawn Bouwens and Jeff Novak, who are all vying for the starting job) did a pretty good job in terms of blocking percentage."

The Jaguars will practice at 8:40 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before leaving for St. Louis on Thursday. They will play the Rams on Friday night in the Trans World Dome.
