Professional
2021 (Jaguars)
- Voted a team captain for the 2021 season
- 1/9 vs. IND: Sacked QB Carson Wentz twice in the first half, marking the fourth multi-sack game of his career... Finished the game with four total tackles (three solo), including 2.0 sacks
- 11/7 vs. BUF: Finished the game with a career-high eight tackles, including two tackles for loss and 1.0 sack... Allen also recorded the first INT of his career, becoming the second defensive lineman in franchise history to post at least 1.0 sack, one INT and one fumble recovery in a single game (DE Tony Brackens)... Allen is the only player in the NFL over the last three seasons (2019-21) to accomplish the feat... Allen sacked Bills QB Josh Allen, marking the first time a player sacked a QB with the same first and last name in NFL history
- 9/12 at HOU: Started at outside linebacker and recorded five total tackles, including 1.0 sack, and two QB hits... With his sack, Allen joined DE Yannick Ngakoue and DE Tony Brackens as the only players in franchise history to tally at least 14.0 sacks in their first 25 career games

- Saw action in eight games, making seven starts
- Tallied 13 tackles (seven solo), 2.5 sacks, two tackles for loss and one pass defensed
- Named team captain as voted on by his teammates
- Placed on injured reserve on Nov. 24 with a knee injury
- 9/24 vs. MIA: Started at defensive end and tallied two solo tackles, including his first sack of the season
- 11/8 vs. HOU: Started at defensive end and made four tackles, including a half-sack
2019 (Jaguars)
- Appeared in all 16 games, making four starts, during his rookie campaign
- Became the seventh player in franchise history to compile double-digit sacks in a season
- Amassed 44 tackles (31 solo), 11 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks and two forced fumbles
- Finished the year second on the team with 11 tackles for loss... His 10.5 sacks recorded in 2019 led all NFL rookies and were the most by a rookie in franchise history
- One of five NFL players over the last 10 seasons to post at least 10.0 sacks and multiple forced fumbles in their rookie seasons
- Became the first rookie in Jaguars history to make the Pro Bowl
- 10/13 vs. N.O.: Notched two tackles and 1.0 sack, becoming the third player in franchise history to post at least 4.0 sacks through six career games, joining DE Yannick Ngakoue and former DT John Henderson
- 10/27 vs. NYJ: Saw action at DE, amassing 2.0 sacks, one tackle for loss and a forced fumble... Became the first Jaguars rookie since DE Yannick Ngakoue in 2016 to post at least 1.0 sack in four straight games
- 12/15 at OAK: Saw action at DE and tallied three tackles (two solo), including 1.0 sack, his 10th of the season
College
- Did not miss a game during his four-year career with the Wildcats, playing in all 51 games with 35 starts
- Career totals include 220 tackles, 31.5 sacks, 11 forced fumbles, eight passes defensed and two fumble recoveries
- Named SEC Defensive Player of the Year, earned consensus First Team All American honors and was honored with the Bronco Nagurski Award, presented to the nation's top defensive player, as a senior in 2018
- Allen's 17.0 sacks in 2018 were the most by an SEC player in a single season since the NCAA started official sack records in 2000, finishing the season ranked second nationally in sacks (17.0), fourth in forced fumbles (five) and sixth in tackles for loss (21.5)
Personal
- He and his wife, Kaitlyn, have two sons, Wesley, Julian, and one daughter, Vanessa
- Son of Kim Allen and Robert Allen
- Josh's sister, Myisha Hines-Allen, played collegiate basketball at Louisville and is currently a forward for the Washington Mystics, the 2019 WNBA champions
- Uncle, Gregory Hines, played college basketball at Hampton and went on to a 12-year pro career
- Majored in communications
- In June of 2022, traveled to England to participate in An Evening With Jaguars Stars as a player panelist with Jaguars' fans in London and Manchester
