Jorge Cordova made history as the first player of Mexican American descent to be drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Selected in the third round of the 2004 NFL Draft out of the University of Nevada, Cordova brought pride in his heritage and a fierce competitive spirit to the field.

Somos Duuuval Youth Camp: Football, Culture & Hispanic Heritage at San Jose Elementary

Over 150 students from 1st to 5th grade joined Jaguars LB Dennis Gardeck, Jaxson de Ville and the ROAR for a morning of football drills, fun, and inspiration. From high-fives to Q&A moments, this camp was all about celebrating culture, community, and the next generation of Duval athletes.

Dennis Gardeck spent the day at San Jose Elementary with the Jaguars for the Somos Duuuval Youth Football Camp presented by Verizon! Students ran football drills, heard words of encouragement from Gardeck, and celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with energy and pride.

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Jaguars hosted a meaningful food distribution event at Englewood High School. The initiative provided 300 meal kits to local families, fostering community support and honoring Hispanic culture through service.
