The Jacksonville Jaguars' close game versus the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Sept. 11 brought both a huge crowd to EverBank Field and a record local television audience.  The Week 1 matchup drew a 28.7 household rating with a share of 47 while reaching an estimated 191,000 First Coast households.  The game was the number one rated program in the Jacksonville market for the week of Sept. 6 – Sept. 12.

The 28.7 HH rating represents a 19 percent increase over the 2015 regular season opener and a 29 percent increase over the 2014 Week 1 game.  This is the highest rated game during the ownership tenure of Jaguars Owner Shad Khan, and the highest-rated Jaguars game since Week 4 of 2010.

The 28.7 HH rating was higher than the NFL game average of 28.2 HH across home markets.

The Jaguars travel to San Diego in Week 2 to face the Chargers.  The game will be broadcast regionally on CBS.  Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. EDT.
