JACKSONVILLE – This day was about walking and talking.

The Jaguars on Saturday morning held a walkthrough at the Miller Electric Center, a 45-minute "practice" on Day 9 of 2026 Training Camp. Multiple players and Defensive Coordinator Anthony Campanile spoke to the media afterward.

Among the talking highlights:

• Starting center Robert Hainsey, in his second season with the Jaguars, on an offensive line that has worked various players at various positions in recent days while dealing with a few early camp injury issues: "Everyone who comes in and out has done a great job." Right tackle Walker Little left Friday's "mock game" at the MEC early, with second-year guard Wyatt Milum playing tackle and second-year center Jonah Monheim playing guard. Guards Patrick Mekari and Emmanuel Pregnon did not participate Friday. "Everyone's improving," Hainsey said. "Everyone's working together. It has been super-helpful for all these guys to get all the reps because you never know when you're going to need them. You never know when you're going to have to lean on that experience."
• Hainsey on the line returning all starting and front-line players for a second season in Head Coach Liam Coen's system: "Things are quicker. Communication is better. The communication is even a little bit less because we have a better understanding of what we're doing. That makes things smoother on the field, for sure."

• Campanile on Friday's mock game: "I thought the young guys played really hard. The most important part, or the most difficult part I would say, for a collegiate guy coming up and playing pro ball is there's probably just a little bit more communication. Some of the young guys have to do a little bit better job with that, but I thought a lot of guys went a thousand miles an hour. Some guys in the front really did a good job, some guys at the second level. We were pleased with them."
• Campanile on the defense overall through nine days of '26 camp: "There's a lot of room for growth. Everybody in our room would tell you that. Never really satisfied with any of that. There are things, from my position, I have to look at what we have to get better at, and there are definitely a lot of things we have to get better at. We're trying to focus on that right now. Worry about us, how we develop: Communication, consistently running the ball, taking the ball away, whipping blocks and how we tackle. As you get into kind of the meat and potatoes of camp, when you're getting away from that acclimation period, you get the opportunity to tackle a little bit more. That's something that we have to be drilling the hell out of in our individual periods: block destruction, tackling, being frontal with people and running to the football. Those are things that you're never going to stop working on."

• Cornerback Jarrian Jones on the return of nickel corner Jourdan Lewis, who missed the last two 2025 regular-season games with a foot injury after signing with the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent in the 2025 offseason: "Excited to have him back. He's an amazing help – not even football, just life. He's a major blessing for the secondary."
• Jones on his role playing outside and nickel corner, with an option of playing at safety: "I'm excited about it. I'm happy they allow me to do all those things. When a defensive coordinator allows you to do all those things, that shows he thinks highly of you."

INJURY WATCH

Little did not appear to participate in the walkthrough Saturday after leaving practice early Friday. The Jaguars on Saturday signed offensive lineman Geron Christian, an eight-year NFL veteran and a third-round selection by the Washington Commanders in the 2018 NFL Draft. Left tackle Cole Van Lanen (knee) remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list to start camp, with the team placing offensive lineman Garrett DiGiorgio on the Reserve/Injured list after he spent the early part of camp on the PUP list. Second-year linebacker Jack Kiser remained out of practice after sustaining a knee injury in Day 1 practice.
