Jaguars sign Marler

The Jacksonville Jaguars made two roster moves today, signing former Jaguars placekicker Seth Marler and waiving quarterback Paul Pinegar, who had been signed as a rookie free agent out of Fresno State. Marler, a 6-1, 200-pounder was originally signed as an undrafted rookie in 2003 out of Tulane. He converted 20 of 33 field goals in 16 games as a rookie but missed all of 2004 after being placed on injured reserve with a quadriceps injury. He will wear jersey No. 6.
