JACKSONVILLE, Fla.– The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed RB Dare Ogunbowale to the active roster, the club announced today. To make room on the roster, the club placed RB Devine Ozigbo (hamstring) on the team's reserve/injured list. Â
Ogunbowale, 5-10, 205, has appeared in 20 career games and has totaled 11 rushes for 17 yards and two TDs and 35 receptions for 286 yards, as well as four special teams tackles. He originally signed with Houston as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and has also spent time with Washington (2017) and Tampa Bay (2017, 2018-20). Â
Ogunbowale played collegiately at Wisconsin from 2013-16 and rushed for 1,518 yards and 13 TDs and caught 60 passes for 507 yards and two TDs in 49 career games. A native of Milwaukee, Wis., he attended Marquette High School (Milwaukee). His sister, Arike, played college basketball at Notre Dame and is now a point guard for the WNBA's Dallas Wings. Â
His name is pronounced DAR-ay OH-gun-buh-WALL-ay and he will wear No. 33 for the Jaguars.
