JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed LB Dennis Gardeck, the team announced today. Additionally, the team has waived OL Cooper Hodges with a failed physical designation.

Gardeck spent the last seven seasons in Arizona after entering the NFL with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2018. In 96 career games (17 starts), he has totaled 156 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 17.0 sacks, seven passes defensed, four fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles and two interceptions. He also added 49 special teams tackles.

Last season, Gardeck appeared in seven games and produced 20 total tackles, six tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, two pass defensed, one interception and one forced fumble before a knee injury ended his season. He led Arizona with 6.0 sacks in 2023 and had a career-high 7.0 sacks in 2020 despite playing just 93 defensive snaps. Gardeck was named a Pro Bowl alternate in 2019 after registering a team-high 10 special teams tackles. He served as a four-time team captain (2020-23) for the Cardinals and was the team's Salute to Service award nominee in 2019 and 2023.
