JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to terms with RB Chris Rodriguez Jr., the team announced today.
Rodriguez Jr. was drafted by Washington in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft and appeared in 35 games (seven starts) in three seasons with the Commanders. He has totaled 198 career carries for 920 yards (4.6 ypc) and 10 touchdowns to pair with six receptions for 54 yards and four special teams tackles. Rodriguez Jr. set career highs with 500 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns on 112 rushes in 2025. A native of McDonough, Ga., he played collegiately at Kentucky for five seasons (2018-22) where he appeared in 46 games (19 starts) and ran for 3,644 yards and 32 touchdowns on 592 carries (6.2 ypc). Rodriguez Jr.'s finest season came in 2021 when Jaguars Head Coach Liam Coen served as the Wildcats Offensive Coordinator, helping him earn All-SEC honors after recording 225 carries for 1,379 yards and nine touchdowns in addition to 13 catches for 61 yards and three scores through the air.
