JACKSONVILLE – Here are senior writer John Oehser's Week 2 2014 power rankings. And we all know how important these are:

  1. Seattle Seahawks (1-0) | 1 | Could be settling into this spot for a while
  1. San Francisco 49ers (1-0) | 2 | Stronger Week 1 than many expected
  1. Denver Broncos (1-0) | 3 | Hung on Sunday, so they'll hang on to this spot
  1. Cincinnati Bengals (1-0) | 7 | A strong enough roster to be in Top 5 much of the season
  1. Green Bay Packers (0-1) | 5 | A loss in Seattle shouldn't drop any team too far
  1. New England Patriots (0-1) | 4 | Reputation keeps them here this week, but for how long?
  1. Carolina Panthers (1-0) | 12 | Still winning close, tough games
  1. Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) | 9 | Rallied from way, way back Sunday to move up
  1. Atlanta Falcons (1-0) | 15 | Vaults into Top 10 with OT victory over Saints
  1. New Orleans Saints (0-1) | 6 | NFC South looks tough … really tough
  1. Arizona Cardinals (1-0) | 11 | Still unnoticed and still have a good chance to contend
  1. Detroit Lions (1-0) | 19 | All that talent looked really good Monday
  1. Indianapolis Colts (0-1) | 10 | A loss at Denver won't – and shouldn't – drop them far
  1. Baltimore Ravens (0-1) | 8 | Will have tough task beating Cincy in AFC North
  1. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0) | 18 | Inched up this list, but they have major questions
  1. New York Jets (1-0) | 21 | J-E-T-S!!!! … at least for this week
  1. San Diego Chargers (0-1) | 13 | Has look of a team that will contend all season
  1. Chicago Bears (0-1) | 14 | Stunned at home against Buffalo, but shouldn't be down long
  1. Miami Dolphins (1-0) | 29 | A big Week 1 surprise, but they historically play NE tough at home
  1. Tennessee Titans (1-0) | 24 | More impressive in opener than most thought possible
  1. Dallas Cowboys (0-1) | 16 | Listless loss in opener not a good sign for the 'Boys
  1. Kansas City Chiefs (0-1) | 17 | Inside linebacker Derrick Johnson's injury can't be overestimated
  1. Buffalo Bills (1-0) | 27 | Impressive Week 1 upset in Chicago; do it again and they'll move up
  1. New York Giants (0-1) | 20 | New year, new offense … so far, same look
  1. Minnesota Vikings (1-0) | 28 | Much, more impressive than many thought possible in St. Louis
  1. Houston Texans (1-0) | 32 | Methodical, routine victory moves them up from No. 32
  1. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1) | 25 | Really good Sunday … for a half
  1. Cleveland Browns (0-1) | 26| Much better than some expected against Pittsburgh Sunday
  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1) | 31 | Defense will make them tough all season
  1. Oakland Raiders (0-1) | 30 | Had chance to win on road in regular-season opener; not always easy
  1. Washington Redskins (0-1) | 23 | Weeks 1s of new regime are hardly ever easy
  1. St. Louis Rams (0-1) | 22 | One-sided openers happen when QB is out for the season
