JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars addressed defense with Friday's final selection.
In this case, that meant bolstering an already strong and deep position in already strong area of the defense.
Jalen Huskey, a safety from the University of Maryland, on Friday was selected by the Jaguars No. 100 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft – the 36th and final selection of Round 3.
Huskey (6-feet-1, 192 pounds) played 2024-2025 at Maryland and 2022-2023 at Bowling Green. He finished his collegiate career with 11 interceptions and 10 passes defensed, including four interceptions and three passes defensed in 2025.
Huskey became the third player from Maryland to be selected by the Jaguars in the NFL Draft, the first since defensive end Yannick Ngakoue (Round 3) in 2016.
The Jaguars earlier Friday selected Texas A&M tight end Nate Boerkircher No. 56 overall (Round 2) and Texas A&M defensive tackle Albert Regis No. 81 overall (Round 3). They selected Oregon offensive guard Emmanuel Pregnon No. 88 overall (Round 3).
The Jaguars have seven selections remaining in the '26 draft: No. 124 overall (Round 4), No. 164 overall (Round 5), No. 166 overall (Round 5), No. 203 overall (Round 6), No. 233 overall (Round 7), No. 240 overall (Round 7), No. 245 overall (Round 7).
The Jaguars did not have a selection in Thursday's Round 1, having traded the selection to move up and select wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter No. 2 overall (Round 1) in the 2025 NFL Draft.
