Official: Preseason opponents, weeks set

2019-Preseason-Game-Schedule-Announcement-16x9

JACKSONVILLE – Nick Foles could play his former team.

That's one highlight of the Jaguars' 2019 preseason – with another being a nationally-televised game on the preseason's most high-profile week.

The NFL released 2019 preseason opponents/weeks for all 32 teams Tuesday, with the Jaguars scheduled to open at the Baltimore Ravens before playing the Philadelphia Eagles at home, visiting the Miami Dolphins for Preseason Game 3 and finishing at home against the Atlanta Falcons.

Preseason Game 2 at home against Philadelphia could have high interest, with Foles – who signed with the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent in mid-March – having quarterbacked the Eagles to a Super Bowl title following the 2017 season.

The Preseason Game 3 between the Jaguars and Dolphins will be nationally-televised on Fox on Thursday, August 22 at 8 p.m. That game will be held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. The third week of the NFL preseason is generally considered the most important, with most teams playing their starters throughout the first half and into the third quarter.

That's the only Jaguars 2019 preseason game scheduled to be nationally televised. Times and dates of the other the three preseason games are yet to be determined.

The first two non-nationally-televised games will be held within the following date ranges: at Baltimore (week of August 8-11) and vs. Philadelphia (Week of August 15-18). The preseason finale against the Falcons is expected to be held Thursday, August 29.

The Jaguars' 2019 preseason schedule release is presented by McGowan's Heating & Air Conditioning. The Jaguars' 2019 preseason is presented by Lycamobile.

Fans unable to attend the games can tune in to www.jaguars.com/live and the Official Jacksonville Jaguars app for a free live digital stream of Jaguars preseason games presented by Universal Orlando Resort®. The three non-nationally-televised games also will be broadcast locally on Action News Jax/CBS47 and Fox30.
