Popular Jaguars special teams star Nick Sorensen is the headliner in a round of cuts that took the team's roster to the required 75-man limit.
Also gone are: running backs Derrick Wimbush and D.D. Terry, linebacker Jorge Cordova, tight end Jermaine Wiggins, wide receivers Jimmy Farris, D'Juan Woods and Roosevelt Kiser, defensive end Jeremy Mincey, offensive tackle Andrew Carnahan and quarterback Lester Ricard. Carnahan is the first draft pick to be cut.
The Jaguars have 76 players on their roster but offensive tackle Sam Gutekunst is roster-exempt. Gutekunst is a year-long practice-squad player who came to the Jaguars with a NFL Europa exemption.
All NFL rosters must be reduced to 53 players by four p.m. on Saturday. Teams will begin signing players to practice squads on Sunday.
