A group of more than 40 leading North Florida area merchants have teamed up to support Jaguars ticket sales and renewal efforts by offering fans who buy or renew season tickets a book of gift certificates called "Teal Deals" containing over $1,300 worth of savings.
The Teal Deals book – filled with money-saving gift certificates that can be redeemed at restaurants and businesses – will be mailed to anyone who buys or renews 2010 season tickets. Purchasers are encouraged to also support the grassroots effort of Team Teal by joining a team at www.myteamteal.com by May 31st, 2010.
This program is being offered as a win-win-win deal for Jaguars fans, the Jaguars and local North Florida businesses. Joe Adeeb, president of Bono's, who along with Brian Flynn of Mint Magazine has pioneered Teal Deals, said, "Fans purchasing season tickets will get to enjoy great discounts at some of North Florida's best restaurants and businesses, but their purchase will also support the long-term success of the Jaguars in Jacksonville while providing a much-needed boost to local businesses in and around Jacksonville."
"Community members realize the importance of the Jacksonville Jaguars to this community, and I am so glad that a grassroots effort came together through Team Teal with a goal to ensure that the Jaguars remain a viable part of Jacksonville," said Brian Flynn, creator of the Teal Deal gift certificate booklet. The Teal Deals gift certificate book will be available only until May 31, 2010 and fans are being urged to purchase Jaguars 2010 season tickets and register now to avoid missing out.
Those who buy or renew season tickets before May 31st will automatically be mailed one Teal Deals gift certificate book for each seat they own, e.g. if they have four seats they will receive four Teal Deals gift certificate booklets.
