JACKSONVILLE – Blake Bortles is quickly gaining the respect of his peers.

That has become more and more true this offseason and became even more evident Wednesday when the Jaguars' third-year quarterback was named one of the NFL's Top 100 players.

Bortles, who last season set franchise records for touchdown passes and yards passing in a single season, was named on Wednesday night as a member of the NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2016.

Bortles made the list at No. 56.

Bortles, the No. 3 overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, completed 355 of 606 passes last season for 4,428 yards and 35 touchdowns with 18 interceptions.

Bortles became the fourth Jaguars player named to this year's list, which is voted on by NFL players. Linebacker Telvin Smith made the Top 100 at No. 83 two weeks ago and wide receiver Allen Hurns made it at No. 89. Running back Chris Ivory, a Pro Bowl selection for the New York Jets last season who signed with the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent in March, made the list at No. 78.
