"The unveiling of the Jaguars' revamped defense is happening in small doses. Friday night marked the second step in what will be a gradual process as Jacksonville played its starters for an entire half. "The team owner also told The Indianapolis Star on Saturday evening that every option is in play if the May 23 surgery to repair a bulging disk in Manning&39;s neck forces him to miss his first career start. The last word

"You're never looking at one without an eye toward the other. You have to build your team around what you are capable of, what you are doing and with the guys you have, and play towards their strengths. You need to try and understand how teams are going to try to stop you from doing that. When you get into game planning, you get into more in-season type of thinking. For us right now, we are working our system and working our players. We are mindful of those things that you are talking about, but we are more focused on the system, the players and how the players work together and some things certain guys can do - the exposure. Obviously, there is learning involved. Some of these things that are a click off, but when you get it dialed in then that click can be the difference between a very successful play and a not so good play. We have to stay the course, continue to teach, continue to learn and grow as a football team."
