OAKLAND, Calif. – Changing time zones didn't change enough.
Changing quarterbacks didn't, either.
With Chad Henne making his first start of the season at quarterback, the Jaguars struggled offensively for a second consecutive week Sunday, managing 242 yards offense and losing their second consecutive game to start the season – this time, 19-9, to the Oakland Raiders at O.co Coliseum.
The Raiders led 10-3 at halftime, pushing the lead to 13-3 with a field goal by Sebastian Janikowksi with 9:18 remaining in the third quarter to cap their first drive of the second half.
The Jaguars didn't produce a first down in the third quarter, and when Janikowski converted a 29-yard field goal with 13:49 remaining in the fourth quarter, Oakland led, 16-3. Janikowski added another 29-yard field goal later in the fourth quarter to give the Raiders a 19-3 lead.
Henne threw 13 yards to tight end Clay Harbor for the Jaguars' first touchdown of the season with 2:53 remaining, but the conversion pass was incomplete.
The Jaguars had 128 second-half yards – more than 100 of which came on two late series -- with Oakland finishing with 340 total yards. The Jaguars had 178 yards total offense last week in a 28-2 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Henne, playing in place of injured Blaine Gabbert (right thumb/right hand) completed 25 of 38 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions, while Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor – making his second NFL start – completed 15 of 24 passes for 126 yards. Pryor also rushed for 50 yards on nine carries.
Raiders running back Darren McFadden rushed for 129 yards on 19 carries.
Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew, a three-time Pro Bowl selection who led the NFL in rushing in 2011, sustained an ankle sprain late in the first half. He did not return and finished with 27 yards on 10 carries.
The Jaguars started slowly, going three and out offensively before a 30-yard punt return by Phillip Adams allowed the Raiders to start their first possession at the Jaguars 38. Marcel Reece capped the ensuing drive with an 11-yard run two plays after an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Jaguars defensive end Jason Babin.
The Jaguars cut the lead to 7-3 with a 27-yard field goal by Josh Scobee with 7:45 remaining in the second quarter before Janikowski extended the Raiders' lead to 10-3 with a 46-yard field goal three seconds before halftime.
TURNING POINT
The Jaguars trailed just 10-3 at halftime, and had a chance to get back in the game with a solid performance in that quarter. Janikowski capped a 12-play, 69-yard drive to start the third quarter with a 30-yard field goal and the Jaguars' offense did not get past their 32 on either of its third-quarter possessions.

HIGHLIGHTS**
- Linebacker Geno Hayes came up big for the Jaguars late in the second quarter. After the Raiders drove to the Jaguars 25 with long runs by McFadden and Pryor, Hayes stopped McFadden for a three-yard gain before stopping Pryor for a three-yard loss. After an incomplete pass, Janikowski missed a 35-yard field goal to keep the Jaguars within four points, 7-3.
- Defensive end Jeremy Mincey had a seven-yard sack in the third quarter.
- Harbor's 13-yard reception from Henne was the Jaguars' first touchdown of the season. He finished the game with three receptions for 34 yards.
- Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts finished with eight receptions for 93 yards.
LOOKING ON . . .
*The Jaguars opted on Sunday to use wide receiver Stephen Burton on kickoffs and cornerback Will Blackmon on punt returns. They have used Blackmon early in the second because rookie Ace Sanders – probably the team's best punt returner – has been starting at receiver in place of suspended wide receiver Justin Blackmon.
*The Jaguars' offensive struggles continue to mean heavy work for Jaguars punter Bryan Anger. After setting a franchise record with 11 punts in the regular-season opener, he had eight punts on Sunday against Oakland.

INJURY WATCH**
Jones-Drew left in the second quarter with an ankle sprain, and did not return. Running back Jordan Todman played in his place.
The Jaguars began the game with three starters out of the lineup – quarterback Blaine Gabbert (hand/thumb), tight end Marcedes Lewis (calf) and cornerback Dwayne Gratz (ankle). Gabbert and Lewis will be reevaluated after the game, while Gratz is expected to miss at least two more games.
Cornerback Alan Ball (groin) started after being injured in practice this week, and guards Uche Nwaneri and Will Rackley started after dealing with knee issues this week.
Chad Henne started for Gabbert at quarterback, with veteran Will Blackmon starting for Gratz and Allen Reisner starting for Lewis.
The Jaguars' inactives for Sunday were Gabbert, wide receiver Mike Brown, Gratz, linebacker J.T. Thomas, Lewis, defensive tackle Abry Jones and cornerback Marcus Burley.
Jeremy Ebert and Burley were activated from the practice squad Saturday.
