In and Out: Agnew Out, Washington Active

W4-INACTIVES-SEPT-29

LONDON – The Jaguars are doing some roster juggling at receiver.

Wide receiver/returner Jamal Agnew is out with a quadriceps issue, joining wide receiver Zay Jones (knee) among five inactive Jaguars players for their 2023 Week 4 game against the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium in Lonon Sunday.

The Jaguars announced the five inactive players at 8 a.m. EST Sunday, 90 minutes before kickoff.

Rookie wide receiver Parker Washington will be active for the first time this season and likely will return punts in Agnew's absence. Jaguars Head Coach Doug Pederson on Friday said running back D'Ernest Johnson will return kickoffs in Agnew's absence.

The Jaguars' active receivers for Sunday:

  • Calvin Ridley
  • Christian Kirk
  • Tim Jones
  • Jacob Harris
  • Parker Washington

Harris was a standard practice squad elevation for a second consecutive week.

The Jaguars' five inactive players for Sunday:

  • Wide receiver Zay Jones
  • Wide receiver/returner Jamal Agnew
  • Linebacker Devin Lloyd
  • Wide receiver Elijah Cooks
  • Safety Antonio Johnson.

Lloyd underwent thumb surgery Wednesday and is expected to miss Sunday's game against the Falcons and next Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.

Johnson will miss a fourth consecutive game to start the season with a hamstring injury.
