In and out: Scherff, Fortner Active

W2-INACTIVES-SEPT-29

JACKSONVILLE – The game-day inactives again held little mystery.

Right guard Brandon Scherff and center Luke Fortner were not among the Jaguars' Sunday inactives and are therefore expected to play against the Kansas Chiefs in a 2023 Week 2 game at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville Sunday at 1 p.m.

Scherff and Fortner were listed as questionable on Friday's final injury report of the week with ankle injuries sustained in a Week 1 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Head Coach Doug Pederson said Friday both were expected to play Sunday.

The Jaguars listed four players as inactive Sunday an hour and a half before kickoff:

  • Safety Antonio Johnson (hamstring)
  • Rookie wide receiver Parker Washington
  • Rookie wide receiver Elijah Cooks
  • Running back JaMycal Hasty

The Chiefs listed seven players as inactive:

  • Running back La'Mical Perine
  • Cornerback Nic Jones
  • Defensive end BJ Thompson
  • Outside linebacker Wanya Morris
  • Tackle Lucas Niang
  • Defensive tackle Neil Farrell
  • Defensive tackle Keondre Coburn
