In and Out, Week 17: Jones, Lawrence Out

W17-INACTIVES

JACKSONVILLE – Trevor Lawrence is out. That was expected.

Zay Jones is out, too. That was uncertain entering the weekend, but both Lawrence and Jones will miss the AFC South-leading Jaguars' game against the Carolina Panthers at EverBank Stadium Sunday.

Both were made officially inactive by the team 90 minutes before kickoff.

Lawrence, the Jaguars' starting quarterback in all 49 games since they selected him No. 1 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, will miss with a sprained AC joint sustained in a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday. He three times previously this season played the week after leaving the previous game with injuries. He was ruled out on Friday's final injury report of the week.

Jones will miss his second consecutive game with a hamstring injury after being listed as questionable Friday.

Left tackle Cam Robinson, the only other Jaguars player listed as questionable Friday, is active after being on injured reserve four games with a knee injury.

🚨 The Jaguars' five inactive players Sunday 🚨

  • Quarterback Trevor Lawrence
  • Wide Receiver Zay Jones
  • Defensive lineman Angelo Blackson
  • Outside linebacker Yasir Abdullah
  • Offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen
