The Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Washington Redskins at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium in the 2009 league-wide preseason schedule announced by the NFL today. The four-week preseason will begin the weekend of August 13-17. Specific dates and kickoff times of each game will be determined and announced later.

In week one the Jaguars will play at Miami, followed by their first home game against the Buccaneers in week two of the preseason. The team will travel to Philadelphia to play the Eagles in week three before closing out the preseason by hosting the Redskins.

The Jaguars are 36-21 all-time in preseason games including 17-7 the past six seasons under head coach Jack Del Rio. This will be the seventh consecutive year in which the Jaguars play both the Miami Dolphins and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in one preseason.

The Jaguars are 4-3 in the preseason against the Dolphins, 5-2 against the Buccaneers. While the Jaguars are 3-0 in preseason games against the Redskins, they will be playing the Eagles for the first time in a preseason game.
