The Jaguars today activated wide receiver D'Juan Woods from the practice squad and released offensive lineman Chad Slaughter.

Woods, 6-1, 210, played in all four preseason games in 2008 and ranked fourth on the club with six receptions for 65 yards. The first-year pro signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2007 and spent most of last season on the club's practice squad. He had career totals of 163 receptions for 2,751 yards and 20 touchdowns in four seasons at Oklahoma State. He will wear No. 14. Slaughter signed with the Jaguars earlier this week.
