JACKSONVILLE, Fla.– The Jacksonville Jaguars are preparing to host their first prime-time game in four years and the team is calling on fans to “Get Your Teal Out” and transform the city and TIAA Bank Field to teal on Thursday, Sept. 19 to celebrate Jacksonville’s turn in the national spotlight. The Jaguars host the Tennessee Titans in Week 3 for Thursday Night Football on NFL Network in the team’s first home divisional game of the year.
The Jaguars are celebrating 25 seasons on the First Coast and the team will wear teal jerseys and white pants, an homage to the inaugural season’s traditional combination. The team is asking fans to wear teal, as well. The game is presented by Publix and the first 25,000 fans through the gates will receive a teal Jaguars T-shirt.
The full “Get Your Teal Out” campaign will kick off next Monday, Sept. 16, when Jaguars.com and all Jaguars social media channels take on a distinct teal look. On game day, fans can expect a complete teal washout across all video board content and game day field activations, including teal field flags to celebrate Jaguars scores. Members of THE ROAR of the Jaguars, the JaxPack and the D-Line will all join in by sporting teal.
NFL Network is inviting fans to show off their teal pride live on national television at the NFL GameDay Kickoff set located on the east side of TIAA Bank Field at the corner of Duval and Bryan Streets, the traditional tailgate site of Bold City Brigade and the Teal Street Hooligans. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and be a part of the crowd, beginning with the live broadcast at 5:30 p.m.
The Jaguars vs. Titans matchup marks the fifth time in the last six seasons in which the AFC South rivals will compete on Thursday Night Football, with the Jaguars holding a 2-0 record in such games at TIAA Bank Field. Overall, Jacksonville has won three of its last five games played on Thursday night, including four consecutive victories at home on Thursday Night Football. The Jaguars have a record of 62-46 in games in which they wear teal jerseys through the team’s history.
Kickoff for the primetime matchup against the Titans is set for 8:20 p.m. at TIAA Bank Field. Tickets as low as $49 are still available for purchase at www.jaguars.com/tickets or by calling 904-633-2000.
