Jaguars Make Roster Moves

The Jacksonville Jaguars today released defensive end James Wyche and activated rookie defensive end Jeremy Navarre to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. The Jaguars also signed defensive end Zach Potter to the practice squad.

Navarre, 6-3, 279, becomes the third undrafted free agent on the club's roster, joining linebacker Russell Allen and defensive end Julius Williams. Navarre started 48 of 50 games at Maryland and finished with 25.5 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks. Wyche was a seventh-round pick of the Jaguars in 2006 and spent the last two seasons on injured reserve.

Potter, 6-7, 280, started 24 of 50 games at Nebraska and was a two-time honorable mention All-Big 12 selection. He finished with 96 career tackles, eight sacks and 28 tackles for loss. He was signed as a rookie free agent by the New York Jets on May 1 and was waived during final cuts on September 5.

A native of Omaha, Potter was a five-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll and graduated with a degree in communications.
