JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars are on the clock.

While they won't be there with the first selection of the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft nearly as long as the Kansas City Chiefs were there at No. 1 overall, the team's positioning entering Friday evening is far from insignificant.

The Jaguars are scheduled to use the No. 33 overall selection shortly after 6:30 p.m. Friday. To hear General Manager David Caldwell tell it, the hours until that selection should be active.

Caldwell has said for several months that he believes that selection will be valuable, with the team expected to consider trade offers to move down.

"Yeah, there's a chance," Caldwell said late Thursday.

Caldwell, speaking shortly after the team drafted Luke Joeckel No. 1 overall, said there was a significantly better chance that the team would trade back in the second round than there was they would trade up into the first round.
