The Jaguars have reached agreement with cornerback Steve Smith on a three-year contract. Smith, one of the Jaguars' three seventh-round draft choices, is the fifth member of the team's 2002 draft class to agree to a contract. First-round defensive tackle John Henderson, second-round offensive tackle Mike Pearson, fourth-round quarterback David Garrard and seventh-round kicker Hayden Epstein remain to signed.

Smith received $25,500 signing bonus. His salaries are a league-minimum $225,000, $300,000 and $380,000, and his first two years' salaries include a split-salary provision.
